Apes and Monkeys

Primates  also flourish all over Bangladesh, but most plentifully in the Sundarbans and the Hill Tracts.
Amongst the different kind you will find the Hoolock Gibbon (the only ape in the subcontinent) as wells as langurs, and different species' of monkeys.
Hoolock gibbons mate for life and look after their territories with whistle songs that echo from side to side the forests in the early mornings, charitable rise to their handle of the "singing ape.

Hyena

Hyenas or Hyaenas are the animals of the relatives Hyaenidae of suborder feliforms of the Carnivora. It is the fourth negligible natural family in the Carnivora, and one of the negligible in the mammalia.

Venomous Animals

Animals that have poison or toxic matter in any part of the body and use it to their defense are termed as deadly animals. They are poisonous in nature and can be fatal as well. Although at present they are believed to be less noxious and assault only when they are frightened or threatened. Lion, The King of the Jungle

These kings of the jungle can weigh between 250 and 550 pounds, depending on sex and age and can grow up to be 14 years old in the wild and over the age of 20 years old in captivity. They become capable at hunting at the age of two and are fully grown after 5 or 6 years. Male lions are distinguishable for their impressive manes, which signifies their masculinity and reflects their health. The darker and thicker the mane, the healthier the lion. It allows the lions to appear stronger and frightening to warn off enemies, particularly humans, and appeals to lionesses that are scientifically proven to mate more with lions with thick and dark manes. Lions with no manes are either genetically inbred or have been castrated.

Sarail Hound

The Sarail Hound is a single breed of dog that very closely resemble the Grey Hound and is found mainly in Sarail upazilla of Brahamanbaria district of Bangladesh. Although there is lack of real information about the derivation of the breed, but some researchers assume Sarail Hound to be a Fusion of Arabian Hunting dogs, Greyhounds and Wild-dogs. At present the ‘pure Sarail Hound’ is opposite a devastating future leading to possible destruction. Therefore, it is very important that dog enthusiasts of Bangladesh recognize this breed as a part of Bangladesh’s tradition and take initiative to save it from extinction.

The Royal Bengal Tiger

The majestic Royal Bengal Tiger is the national animal Bangladesh. Highly endanger, the Royal Bengal can now be mostly be found in the Sundarbans.
One of the largest of the 'big cats', it has exceptionally bold and striking colour pattern - making it perhaps the most outstanding and sought-after fiery beast of the world!  The vivid model of stripes on the glossy skin serves as a very effective camouflage in the grasses and foliage almost in all the seasons.
The male averages 3 metres in length with 1 meter of tail and wiighs about 180 kg., though much larger speciemens have been lnown.  The monster one is the Siberian tiger, almost 4 metres long and weigh about 300 kg.
